What should you prepare to visit Bali

Bali is one of beautiful islands in Indonesia. The island comes with some small neighbor islands as well. There are some islands in Bali called, Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Penida and Nusa Ceningan. As for the weather, normally Bali has 2 kinds of weather; the rains and dry season. The weather changes every six months, as Bali is one of tropical islands. There is one thing that differentiates Bali from other islands in Indonesia. Sometimes, the weather comes and changes unpredictable. One day it comes to rain all day long, and on the other day it becomes sunny day. Bali also has some high places and mountains. It makes some places have different temperature. Therefore bringing a sweater is a must for you who do not like cold weather.

You should have a proof of onward passage (i.e. a ticket to Indonesia). Tourist, social and business visas can be obtained from an Indonesian embassy or consulate abroad.

Electricity – Most hotels use 220 volts, 50 cycles and a round, two-pronged slim plug. Bathroom shaver plugs usually have a transformer switch. We suggest you to bring an adapter for your appliance.

If you rent a car (with insurance), watch out for motorcycles, because there are too many motorcycles on the road. If you park your car, always remember to bring all your important belongings ( camera, handphone, money, pda, ipod, ipad, laptop, you name it – etc) . Crime is everywhere in the world being careful is necessary everywhere around the world, including Bali. Be careful with your belongings at all times.

Dress casually – Take light clothes, as the climate might be a bit warm or hot all year. Remember Bali is a land that has many religious festivals most of their daily life.

No drugs! – Bringing drugs/narcotics will give you a bad “gift”, which is a penalty until death penalty, and there are some tourists are already prisoner because of smuggling drugs in Bali.
